Oh, this session! Seriously, every now and then a maternity shoot comes along that just fills your creative soul to the brim. Amy and Sean’s Tampa beach session was absolutely one of those moments. Capturing maternity pictures at the beach can be incredibly rewarding, with such picturesque spots everywhere. For those interested in maternity pictures, the beach provides a stunning natural setting that enhances the beauty of the moment. As a Tampa maternity and newborn photographer (also serving the Wesley Chapel area!), I’ve had the joy of capturing many beautiful bumps. However, the energy and connection these two shared made this one truly my all-time favorite.
From the very beginning, Amy and Sean were an absolute blast to work with.
Their love for each other is so radiant and infectious, and they were game for anything! Forget stiff and formal – this gorgeous couple embraced the playfulness of the beach. They frolicked in the soft sand and splashed in the gentle waves without a care in the world. Indeed, the most authentic and breathtaking moments arise during maternity picture shoots on the beach.
And the weather? It was like Tampa Bay decided to put on a show just for them! The sun dipped towards the horizon, painting the sky in the most incredible hues of orange, pink, and gold. It was the perfect backdrop for celebrating this exciting new chapter in their lives as they await the arrival of their sweet baby Emma.
Amy’s outfit choices were spot on for capturing the different vibes of the beach. We started with a relaxed and comfortable linen top paired with jeans. This allowed them to move freely and naturally as they enjoyed the sand between their toes and the refreshing touch of the water. These casual shots perfectly captured their fun-loving spirit and their genuine connection as a couple. They created perfect maternity pictures at the beach.
Then came the showstopper!

The vibrant floral print against the backdrop of the ocean made her absolutely glow. As a Tampa maternity photographer, I always love seeing how a carefully chosen gown can elevate a session. It adds a touch of elegance and drama while still feeling natural and authentic. Surely, maternity pictures at the beach looked enchanting with Amy resembling a goddess!
To complete her radiant look, Amy also treated herself to hair and makeup by the incredibly talented Stephanie Paul. Her artistry enhanced Amy’s natural beauty, ensuring she felt confident and stunning throughout the entire session.
