There’s a profound beauty in capturing the journey of expectant motherhood. It becomes even more poignant when celebrating a long-awaited rainbow baby. Recently, I had the distinct honor of photographing Alexis, her husband EJ, and their adorable son Julius. They are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their precious baby girl, Lea. I have had the privilege of documenting this beautiful family’s milestones since their first maternity session. Witnessing their joy and anticipation once again was truly heartwarming.
For this special maternity session, we sought out a location that mirrored the vibrancy and hope surrounding Lea’s impending arrival. This is characteristic of a rainbow baby experience. We discovered a stunning display of bougainvillea in Tampa. Its cascading magenta blooms created a dramatic and joyful backdrop. The explosion of color perfectly symbolized the light after the storm. It represents the promise that a rainbow baby holds.
Alexis looked absolutely radiant. Bathed in the warm, golden light of the Florida sun, she exuded a serene beauty that only expectant mothers possess.
