It warms my heart to witness the growth of families I’ve had the privilege of photographing. Ali and Luke’s extended family session was a beautiful testament to the expanding love in their lives. Just last year, I welcomed their precious first son, Landon, into the world. I captured his delicate newborn moments after documenting Ali’s radiant maternity journey. This time, their joy was amplified as they gathered with their nearest and dearest for a truly special family portrait session. It was perfect for extended family pictures.

It was clear how much this extended family gathering meant to them. Ali’s parents and the absolute sweetest grandparents you could ever meet joined the celebration. Ensuring everyone felt comfortable and included was paramount to me, which is crucial for extended family pictures. We carefully chose a location that was fully wheelchair accessible for her grandparents. We even brought along a comfortable bench so they could relax and enjoy being part of the portraits without needing to stand for extended periods. These small accommodations are so important. I always strive to go the extra mile to make sure everyone can participate fully in creating these lasting memories.
Adding to the excitement, Ali’s sister and brother-in-law flew in all the way from California to be part of this special occasion. It truly highlighted the deep bonds and love that connect this family, no matter the distance. This gathering, you could say, was the perfect opportunity for extended family pictures. Luke’s parents were also beaming with pride as they celebrated their first grandchild, Landon. They were surrounded by such a warm and welcoming extended family.
The entire session was filled with genuine smiles, heartfelt embraces, and a palpable sense of love. Capturing these multi-generational connections was incredibly moving. To see the joy on the grandparents’ faces as they held baby Landon, the proud smiles of Ali and Luke’s parents, and the playful interactions between cousins was truly heartwarming.
