There are newborn sessions that touch your heart on a deeper level. Baby James’s was one of those. Welcoming him into the world were his parents, Jenna and Vinny, beloved figures in our daughter’s figure skating community and the dedicated directors of the rink. Their journey to parenthood had been one of longing and hope. Finally, their dream had come true with the arrival of their precious baby boy. Capturing their joy through newborn portraits was incredibly special.
James was an absolute dream to photograph. Sleepy and content, he posed perfectly for every shot, showcasing his adorable features and peaceful demeanor in his newborn portraits. It was clear from the start that he was deeply loved and cherished.
Knowing Jenna and Vinny’s passion for all things Disney, we incorporated a sweet Mickey Mouse hat prop into his session. It added a touch of playful magic. The result was undeniably cute, capturing their fun-loving personalities. And, of course, being part of the figure skating world, we couldn’t resist dressing James in his very first pair of skates – adorable knitted ones, of course! These personal touches made the newborn portraits session truly unique and meaningful.
The family portion of the session was particularly moving.
Watching Jenna and Vinny shower their newborn son with love and affection brought tears to my eyes. The years of longing and anticipation had finally culminated in this beautiful moment. The joy radiating from them was palpable in their newborn portraits.
Jenna looked radiant in a dress from my client closet, a complimentary service I offer to ensure mothers feel their best during their newborn sessions. Vinny brought along a family watch, a sentimental heirloom. It added a touch of personal history to their portraits. These small details, woven into the fabric of the session, created a collection of images. They tell a story of love, family, and long-awaited dreams through their newborn portraits.
