Welcoming a new baby into the world is a magical experience. Capturing those precious first moments is a true honor. As a Tampa newborn photographer, Baby Blakely’s newborn session was no exception. She is a long-time client of mine. I had the pleasure of photographing Shannon and Jess’s maternity session. Now, I was excited to capture their beautiful baby girl.
The session took place in my Wesley Chapel studio. It was bathed in soft natural light, creating the perfect backdrop for Blakely’s arrival. Shannon, a woman of impeccable style, chose two stunning gowns from my client wardrobe for her maternity session. One was a dramatic, flowy floral gown; the other a more classic nude gown. Both dresses accentuated her growing belly and captured the essence of her expectant motherhood. As a professional, being a newborn photographer in Tampa is always a joy. It is wonderful to see returning clients.
Blakely, a tiny bundle of sweetness, was the star of the show.
We captured her delicate features, tiny fingers, and peaceful expressions in a variety of poses. I used a combination of neutrals, pinks, and blues in my setups. These were inspired by the colors Shannon had chosen for her nursery. The soft, muted tones complemented Blakely’s delicate skin. Together, they created a timeless and ethereal feel to the photos. Naturally, as a Tampa newborn photographer, I always aim to capture these beautiful details.
To add a special touch, we incorporated real and faux florals into the sets. The delicate blooms added a touch of whimsy. They complemented the soft, natural colors of the studio. Shannon even brought her wedding veil. We used it as a backdrop for some of Blakely’s portraits and to wrap her tiny little toes for some detail shots.
The love between Shannon and Jess for their new baby girl was palpable.
Their tender gazes and gentle touches spoke volumes about their joy and anticipation. It was a privilege to witness this special moment and capture the beginning of their family’s beautiful journey. Truly, capturing these moments as a Tampa newborn photographer allows me to document these incredible memories.
