Baby Sophia is turning ONE! Her lovely mama, Sarah, reached out a few months ago about planning a sweet and simple cake smash session to celebrate her baby girl turning one. Right away I knew Sarah and I were going to hit it off. Her questionnaire about preferences, was right up my alley, of soft toned colors, and girly florals everywhere!
We choose a ton of florals, with simpler outfit choices, and some statement flower crowns. From the moment they walked into the studio, I knew Sophia was going to be so much fun to photograph. She was such a happy baby, with the cutest little smile!
Her strawberry cake, playing right into her party theme of strawberries, was just beyond adorable. I haven’t had a strawberry naked iced cake before, and I have to say it’s a new favorite. The pink color popping under the icing was just perfect! And this little babe didn’t hesitate to dig right into it! She loved crumbling the cake, and playing in it, which makes for the cutest photos!
