Mother’s Day is around the corner, and every year I get hand-made gifts, that are so thoughtful and full of love! This year, I wanted to give myself a gift that I’ve always dreamed of. I decided I was going to create some timeless Mommy & Me portraits for myself!
Enter youtubes, self-timer tutorials! Just kidding! I’ve used my self times several times, adn each time it gets easier and easier! So if you’re a photographer reading this, or a mama, and you have a dream to capture something yourself, go for it! I use the canon remote since I shoot on the Canon R6, (you can find it here!) I set up my Pure White Seamless paper, and my PLM Einstein light, and went to town! the trickiest part, was framing us, adjusting the tripod, and where we were standing so we would be in frame. The R6 has an amazing face-tracking focal feature, that I utilized for this session.
All in all, I’m very happy with how these turned out, now to make my album spreads! Rhoen is always a good sport with photos, and somehow still loves being in front of the camera, even being a photographer’s kid!
