When Rachel reached out about planning a session for her daughter, Sophia’s first birthday, I was so excited! She wanted greenery, pinks, and neutrals, MY FAVORITES!
Then she had an idea she wanted me to bring to life, of a vintage highchair photo with balloons. Lucky for us, I had painted and refinished a spindle high chair a few years ago, and it’s one of my favorite pieces in my prop collection. Scheduling was tricky, since we were doing both studio, and outdoors, we needed to plan around sunset or sunrise. Since Sophia’s bedtime is around 7pm, we opted for sunrise. Balloons in hand, high chair prepped, we headed to a field not far from the studio and started her portrait session.
Then we headed back, for her adorable setup in studio. This sweet girl is a little shy at first, but almost instantly turned into a camera loving ham! Literally smashing, her face, into her cake!
