It’s something I don’t really talk about, or share, but last year, my mom was diagnosed with colon cancer. It was terrifying, the unknown, and all of the ‘what-ifs’ We were all so unsure of what would be the outcome, and how this was going to change so much for our family.
Well I’m writing this in celebration, because Lisa just finished her chemo treatments, and she is doing amazing!
The doctors and nurses at St. Joseph’s North became a second family for her, and cheered her on the entire treatment. They all went above and beyond in so many ways that we can’t even list them all! As if that wasn’t enough, I was actually able to meet one of her doctors, when he and his wife were expecting their second child, they found me for her maternity and newborn sessions!
So here it is y’all, my mom is in remission, and we couldn’t be more thankful!
