Have you ever met someone, who right away, you just click? You trust them and love them immediately, and just know in your soul, that they’re so beyond amazingly kind!
That was Jess for me! We were looking for a pre-school for Rhoen, and having a tour at her school. We walked into her room, and Rhoen went to her right away! I knew then, that she would care for my girl, and I would have peace of mind, every time I dropped her off.
So of course, we bonded, and became friends outside of school. Her sister, Sarah, is just as amazing, and happens to be the mama of Rhoen’s little BFF.
Jess & Cody met ELEVEN years ago, and started dating! Everyone always says, that young people don’t really know what love is. These two, can prove that statement wrong. The love they share, and have grown together, is incredible.
Watching them together, is like watching something from the Notebook (don’t act like you didn’t cry)
Walking from spot to spot, I got to hear about Cody growing up on the property, where we had their session. It had been in his family, and the host to a million childhood, and teenage memories for him. That wasn’t the best part, the best part about hearing his stories, was that Jess knew every word. Every memory had been shared with her, like she was there. They could finish each others sentences seamlessly.
When their session was first scheduled, Jess wasn’t 100% sure Cody would cooperate, but I make it my mission to bring even the toughest fire-fighter out of their shell! But of course, knowing his love of Jameson, there was only ONE way to bring our session to a finale! You guessed it, Jameson picnic!
It was a complete honor getting to photograph these two together, and eleven years may seem like a long time, but it’s nothing compared to the rest of their happy lives.
So Jess and Cody, thank you for letting me capture your love, and here’s to 100 years.
